Firefighters Battle Flames At South Seattle Home
Seattle Fire is at the scene of a well-involved house fire in South Seattle.

SEATTLE, WA — A smoke column from a house fire in South Seattle could be seen across Renton and Skyway Wednesday, according to firefighters. Seattle Fire arrived at the 10700 block of Renton Avenue South, north of Skyway, shortly after 5:15 p.m. Firefighters reported a well-involved fire in a house and said live powerlines were down nearby. Seattle Fire says everyone made it out safely and crews were able to get the flames knocked down within 30 minutes. The fire's cause has not been determined.
