Flood Watch Issued For Most Counties, Rain Expected For Days
The National Weather Service said a "very wet period" will continue through the week, allowing for potential flooding and landslides.

SEATTLE, WA — Steady rains arrived in Western Washington on Tuesday, marking the beginning of an extended spell of wet weather that forecasters expect to continue into the weekend. All cities in the Puget Sound lowlands are likely to see between 2 and 3 inches of rainfall in the week ahead.
Strong wind gusts recorded Tuesday should lessen by Wednesday, but another round of wind is expected Thursday. Portions of Grays Harbor County were under a Tornado Warning late Tuesday afternoon. All warnings were canceled just after 5:30 p.m.

Forecasters said continued snowfall in mountain passes will likely create hazardous travel conditions across the Cascades Wednesday. More dangerous conditions could develop Wednesday night as precipitation in the mountains transitions into rain. As a result of the extended rains and mountain snow, NWS Seattle said river flooding would be possible everywhere between Wednesday night and Saturday.
