Get Free Light Rail Passes At Sea-Tac This Week
The Port of Seattle will give out free Link light rail tickets to celebrate Sea-Tac's 69th year of service.

SEATAC, WA - Want free light rail tickets? Head to Sea-Tac airport on Wednesday and look out for the sports mascots.
For the airport's 69th birthday, the mascots Blitz (Seahawks), Doppler (Seattle Storm), and Cool Bird (Seattle Thunderbirds) will be handing out free Link tickets Wednesday at the Sea-Tac station. The giveaway runs noon to 3 p.m. or until supplies last. The airport will give out 500 light rail passes.
The Port of Seattle began construction on Sea-Tac during World War II after Boeing Field in Seattle was re-purposed for military use. The first commercial flights began leaving the airport in the late 1940s, according to the port.
