How To Get Inside The Amazon Spheres In Seattle
The Spheres at the Amazon headquarters will be partially open to the public beginning Jan. 30.
SEATTLE, WA - One of the most curious structures built in Seattle since perhaps the Space Needle will open to the public next week. The Spheres buildings at the Amazon campus in South Lake Union contain plants and private workspaces. But on Tuesday, the Spheres Discovery at Understory exhibit opens for anyone to attend.
Like most buildings on the Amazon campus, you can't just walk in and start hanging out. Visit the Understory exhibit website and make a reservation first. It's free, but slots are limited and filling up quickly.
The exhibit details the design and construction of the buildings and some of the unique plants kept inside.

"Get up close and personal with The Spheres’ story at The Spheres Discovery at Understory. With interactive exhibits about The Spheres’ flora and design, Understory provides a fully immersive, 360-degree experience to visitors," a description of the exhibit reads.
Amazon will open the Spheres to public in the future - including retail spaces - but has not released details on that yet.

You can find the spheres at 2101 7th Ave., in Seattle. If you can't reserve a spot inside, you can always take a selfie outside the Spheres (and yes, there's an angle where you can get the Space Needle in the shot).
