I-5 Lane Closures In Seattle For Emergency Repairs

WSDOT crews will close lanes and exit ramps through the weekend for repairs and paving.

SEATTLE, WA - State Department of Transportation crews will make a slew of repairs along I-5 through the weekend. The work includes emergency pothole repairs and paving that was already scheduled.

A majority of the work will happen during overnight hours, but some exit ramps will be closed for a majority of the weekend.

Here's the scope of the work, according to WSDOT:

  • 10:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Sept. 27: Southbound I-5 down to a single lane between Spokane Street and the Corson-Michigan exit.
  • 8:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. Sept. 28, Sept. 29: Southbound I-5 down to a single lane between Spokane Street and the Corson-Michigan exit. This lane reduction is weather-dependent.
  • 9 p.m. Sept. 28 to 5 a.m. Oct. 1: Northbound I-5 off-ramp to the West Seattle Bridge/Columbian Way/Spokane Street will close for paving.
  • 3 p.m. Sept. 29 to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1: Northbound I-5 off-ramp to Seneca Street will close for expansion joint repair.
