Infant Seriously Hurt In Airport Way Crash
A two-car crash around 5 p.m. Wednesday sent an infant to the hospital and shut down Airport Way near Georgetown.

SEATTLE, WA — A possibly impaired driver smashed into a minivan Wednesday evening along Airport Way, seriously hurting an infant and injuring another child, according to police.
The incident happened just after 5 p.m. north of Georgetown. A minivan was heading northbound on Airport Way when the driver went to make a left turn onto Alaska Street. That's when a sedan driven by a 26-year-old woman tried to pass the minivan while speeding. The sedan smashed into the side of minivan.
According to police, the infant was take to Harborview with "life-threatening injuries." Another child in the minivan was treated for non-life threatening injuries at the scene.

The driver of the sedan was treated, and traffic detectives found signs of impairment.
