Jon Ryan, Longest Serving Seahawk, Leaving Team

Punter Jon Ryan joined the Seahawks in 2008 and has been a staple ever since.

SEATTLE, WA - The longest-serving Seattle Seahawk announced Monday that he'll be leaving the team. Punter Jon Ryan has been a Seahawk since 2008, and is one of a handful of players who won the Super Bowl in 2013.

Ryan made the announcement on Twitter. He thanked fans and the Seahawks coaching staff.

The Seahawks drafted punter Michael Dickson this year. Ryan has indicated that he thought Dickson would replace him.
