Judge Sets Hearing Date In WA AG Ferguson's Attempt To Block Trump Travel Ban

SEATTLE, WA - A federal judge in Seattle will hold a hearing on Attorney General Bob Ferguson's request for a restraining order against President Donald Trump's travel ban executive order.

The hearing will take place Friday at 2:30 p.m. at U.S. District Court in Seattle.

Ferguson is suing Trump to block the executive order, which bans travel to the U.S. from seven predominantly Muslim countries for three months; it also bans refugees from entering the U.S. for 120 days, and bans refugees from Syria indefinitely. Ferguson also filed a restraining order to suspend the executive order while the larger lawsuit proceeds through the courts.

Alson on Tuesday, attorneys general from Massachusetts and New York announced they would sue Trump over his executive orders.
