King County COVID Vaccine, Testing Sites Closed On Thanksgiving

SEATTLE — COVID-19 vaccination and testing sites operated by the county will be closed for Thanksgiving Day, according to Public Health - Seattle & King County. One vaccination site will reopen Friday, along with most testing locations.

That means those who are looking to secure their recently-approved COVID-19 booster shots, pediatric vaccines or a first dose may need to wait until the weekend, and residents and visitors seeking testing will need to do so before or after the holiday.

However, some local pharmacies and health clinics may have some openings earlier. Thanksgiving hours vary at Seattle's city-run vaccination sites. Residents can search for openings using Washington's Vaccine Locator tool or check with King County's COVID-19 Call Center at 206-477-3977.

The COVID-19 vaccination site at the Auburn Outlet Collection Mall will open Friday, Nov. 26, and the others will resume regular hours on Saturday, Nov. 27. For testing, all locations will reopen Friday, except for Renton and Auburn.

Right now, vaccination sites operated by Public Health - Seattle & King County require an appointment, and drop-ins are currently unavailable. Residents can sign up for a spot on the waitlist on their website.
