Lake City Standoff Ends In Man's Arrest
Seattle police closed Lake City Way early Monday morning after reports of a man shooting a pistol from his deck.

SEATTLE, WA - Seattle police have arrested a man who on Monday morning allegedly opened fire from his deck in the Lake City neighborhood. The arrest comes after an hours-long standoff involving the SWAT team and police negotiators.
Police first responded to the area of Lake City Way and Northeast 110th Street around 6:30 a.m. Witnesses reported that the man was firing a pistol from the deck of his home. Police closed Lake City Way between 110th and Northeast 113th streets to protect passersby.
"Police are investigating a shots fired call that has shut down Lake City Way in both directions at NE 11000. Witnesses report a man shooting a pistol from his deck. Negotiators are now on scene working towards a peaceful resolution. Please avoid the area if at all possible," Seattle police wrote on Twitter before 8 a.m.

Around 10 a.m., police deployed flash-bang grenades in an attempt to subdue the suspect. Police also reported that there were shots fired during the incident. The suspect, however, was reportedly taken into custody without injury.
