Latest Seattle Homicide Victim Identified

The victim died in a shooting Sunday night along Martin Luther King Way South.

SEATTLE, WA - The man who died after being shot in South Seattle Sunday night has been identified by the medical examiner as Kamal Farah, 25, of Federal Way. Farah died of multiple gunshot wounds to the torso, according to the medical examiner.

Farah was shot around 8 p.m. Sunday night near the intersection of Martin Luther King Way South and South Othello Street. Farah was a passenger riding in a car when a suspect opened fire on the vehicle. Farah was hit multiple times and was driven to Harborview Medical Center, which is where he was pronounced dead.

Farah was the 26th Seattle homicide victim in 2017. Homicides in Seattle are up compared to 2016, when 18 people were murdered.
