Major Seattle Bus Stop Closing, Impacting Routes Region-Wide
The Convention Place station serving Metro and Sound Transit buses will close on July 21.

SEATTLE, WA - A major bus station in downtown Seattle will close on July 21, and that means several King County Metro and Sound Transit bus stops will be relocated.
Metro is closing the Convention Place bus terminal to make way for construction of an expanded state convention center. After July 21, riders who usually get off at Convention Place will get off at a new stop located near the intersection of 9th Avenue and Pine Street.
"Buses will continue to travel through CPS and the downtown tunnel until March of 2019, but will not stop inside the station at CPS. Instead, riders will board or exit affected buses at their new locations on Ninth Avenue, between Pine St and Olive Way, just above the west side of CPS. Buses will travel to and from the station via a new ramp, "King County Metro described in a press release.
