Man Yells Anti-Gay Slurs, Points Gun At People Seattle: Police

The Seattle police bias crimes unit is investigating a disturbing incident that happened along Rainier Avenue South Wednesday.

SEATTLE, WA - The Seattle police bias crimes unit is investigating a disturbing incident that happened along Rainier Avenue South Wednesday involving a man shouting gay epithets at two people, and then pulling a gun on them. The incident happened around 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Columbia City area, according to police. No one was physically hurt in the incident, but one of the victims captured a photo of the man as he points his gun.

According to Seattle police, a 23-year-old and a 30-year-old were crossing Rainier Avenue South near Genesee Street Wednesday night and walked in front of a black 2004 Volvo S60. From the car, a man shouted gay epithets at the pair, and mocked their weight. The victims yelled back, and the man drove off.

Farther along Rainier, the two victims saw the Volvo again. That's when a person in the passenger seat threw a bottle and hit one of the victims. The two victims caught up to the car again at Orcas Street and attempted to take a photo of the license plate. When they did, a man emerged from the passenger seat and pointed a gun at the victims.
