Moon, Durkan Emerge From Seattle Mayoral Primary
Third place finisher Nikkita Oliver is not expected to ask for a recount.

SEATTLE, WA - King County certified the results of the Aug. 1 primary on Tuesday, and Cary Moon and Jenny Durkan will advance to the general election as candidates for Seattle mayor. Nikkita Oliver finished behind Moon by 1,170 votes, which is close to the threshold for a recount, but Oliver is expected to concede the results of the election on Tuesday.
Here are the final results for the top four finishers in the race:
- Jenny Durkan - 27.9% | 51,529
- Cary Moon - 17.62% | 32,536
- Nikkita Oliver - 16.99% | 31,366
- Jessyn Farrell - 12.54% | 23,160
In other city races, Jon Grant and Teresa Mosqueda advance to the open race for the City Council seat being vacated by Tim Burgess. Incumbent Lorena Gonzalez will face off against Pat Murakami in the Postition 9 race.
