Moon Touts Lower Campaign Spending In Release Of New Poll
Cary Moon is just slightly behind Jenny Durkan according to a Moon-sponsored poll, but she's also spent less to get there.

SEATTLE, WA - Less than 24 hours after they met in the first debate of the 2017 mayoral race, candidate Cary Moon on Wednesday released the results of a new poll sponsored by her campaign that shows Moon and Durkan nearly tied among likely voters. On top of that, Moon is pointing out that she's been able to get nearly as much support as Durkan while spending almost one-third less in campaign contributions.
A document sent out by the Moon campaign shows Durkan polling at 38 percent to Moon's 36 percent with 26 percent of voters undecided. The poll was conducted by the firm GBA Strategies between Sept. 6 and 11 with a sample of 400 voters. The poll had a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9 percentage points.
(GBA Strategies counts among its clients U.S. Rep. Pramila Jayapal, Oregon Gov. Kate Brown, and 2009's Referendum 71, which creates domestic partner benefits for LGBTQ couples in Washington.)
