NFFTY 2026 will return March 26-29 at SIFF venues, presenting the best short films from artists 24-years-old and younger. The festival weekend will feature over 220 short films from around the world. NFFTY has previously featured early work from Sean Wang, Chappell Roan, and Oscar winners Ben Proudfoot and Rayka Zehtabchi.
Highlights include the Opening Night red carpet gala on March 26 at SIFF Downtown, featuring a selection of shorts that showcase the breadth and quality of the festival. Guest speakers include Bing Liu (MINDING THE GAP) and NFFTY alumni Giselle Bonilla (THE MUSICAL, Sundance 2026)!
The 19th National Film Festival for Talented Youth will be an in-person event March 26-29 in Seattle, WA with a full virtual festival running from March 26-April 5. Early bird prices are on sale now and will be available until February 17. Day passes and individual tickets will go on sale in March.

The National Film Festival for Talented Youth (NFFTY) was founded in 2007 by three Seattle teenagers. Since then, NFFTY has grown into the world’s largest and most influential film festival for emerging directors. Each year the festival showcases films by directors 24 and under from around the globe.
In 2025, the NFFTY program moved under the umbrella of SIFF.
