Neo Nazis Vandalize 'Black Lives Matter' Signs In South Seattle
A group that plastered South Seattle synagogues with racist fliers in August made another appearance over the Sept. 14 weekend.

SEATTLE, WA — A white supremacist group that targeted synagogues in Seattle in August plastered fliers on Black Lives Matter signs in the Columbia City area over the weekend.
The neo-Nazi group Daily Stormer Book Club taped the fliers on the signs. The fliers included a racial slur against black people, and asserted that black people commit more violent crimes that other races — a racist trope.
"This is a devastating, vulgar, insult on humanity and a violation of human rights. It is incomprehensible that there are people so dedicated to hate and a false sense of superiority," Columbia City resident Genessa Krasnow wrote on a neighborhood Facebook page. She said she found the flier on her Black Lives Matter sign on Saturday morning.

The Pacific Northwest Anti-Defamation League released a statement Monday saying that the weekend vandalism is part of a larger pattern in Puget Sound.
"Since July, fliers espousing Holocaust denial and targeting members of congress of color, using antisemitic, racist, and xenophobic language and images, were also posted on synagogues and churches. We will continue to speak out against this vitriol and advocate for justice and fair treatment for all. ADL is monitoring the ongoing campaign and is in touch with law enforcement and community organizations," ADL Regionl Director Miri Cypers said in a statement.

On the evening of Sept. 4, a man appeared on a street corner in Woodinville holding a sign advertising Holocaust-denial theories. He abandoned the protest, however, after he was confronted by several residents.
Early in the morning on Aug. 11, a masked man was spotted putting up a flier at the Sephardic Bikur Holim synagogue along 52nd Avenue South. The fliers were signed by the Daily Stormer Book Club, which is affiliated with neo-Nazi leader Andrew Anglin and the racist website Daily Stormer. The flier depicted Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Ayanna Pressley — known as "The Squad" — biting Uncle Sam's hand. The phrase "Send them back!" was at the top of the flier.
