New 'Small' Target In U-District Will Hold Hiring Fair
The store along University Way is looking to hire up to 70 people, according to Target.
SEATTLE, WA — A new small-format Target store set to open in the U-District in July will hold a hiring fair this weekend. The company is looking to hire up to 70 people for the new location.
The hiring fair will happen June 15 at the Northgate store at 10 a.m. But Target says you can apply online before then at Target.com/careers. Target doesn't specify how much the jobs pay, but Seattle's minimum wage for large employers hit the $15 minimum in 2019 ($15.45 if you don't get health benefits).
The University Way story will open on July 21. Here's how Target describes the "small format" style store:

Nationwide, Target has prioritized opening small-format stores to serve guests in urban areas, dense suburban neighborhoods and near college campuses — areas where a full-size Target typically wouldn’t fit. The Seattle University Way store is located just blocks from campus at 4535 University Way NE. This new store will offer a curated assortment of food and beverage items, beauty products, men’s and women’s apparel, and portable technology products.
