Seattle Bank Employee Shot During Robbery: Police

The police department said a worker at KeyBank was shot during an armed bank robbery early Friday afternoon in Seattle's SODO neighborhood.

SEATTLE — A bank employee was shot Friday afternoon during a robbery in Seattle's SODO neighborhood, according to the police department. In a social media post, Seattle police said officers arrived at a KeyBank, near the intersection of South Holgate Street and 1st Avenue South, just after 1:15 p.m.

According to the Seattle Fire Department, medics treated a 34-year-old man at the scene and took him to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.

The police department said it was working with the FBI to investigate, and officers continued to search the area for signs of the suspect Friday afternoon.
