Post Alley Eatery Closed Over Health Violations

King County health inspectors closed the shop near Pike Place Market after finding "repeat violations."

SEATTLE, WA - King County health inspectors on Wednesday closed down a chocolate shop in the Pike Place Market area after "repeated" critical health code violations.

The Chocolate Market, 1906 Post Alley, was closed around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday for "operations/facilities/equipment in the food establishment fail to comply with the King County Food Code," the county reported.

According to county records, the shop has had two "unsatisfactory" health inspections over the last few years. In September 2016, the shop was cited for improper cold holding temperatures. In March 2017, the restaurant was cited because not all workers had food safety certification cards.
