5 Arrested After Protest Blocks 4th Avenue In Seattle
Protesters Friday afternoon blocked off the intersection at 4th Avenue and Pine to protest oil pipelines.

SEATTLE, WA -Five people were arrested and one Seattle police officer was injured during a protest in downtown Seattle Friday afternoon. Around noon, about 100 people blocked off the intersection at 4th Avenue and Pine to protest oil pipelines.
The arrests came after some protesters refused to leave the intersection, according to police. Others agreed to take the demonstration to Westlake Park.
Police arrested three women and two men. The officer was injured during a scuffle with protesters. That officer sustained an ankle injury.
