Puget Sound Weather: Is The Sun Here To Stay?

SEATTLE, WA - Pop quiz: when was the last time before this weekend that Puget Sound saw two consecutive days without rain? Answer: 1988.

We're kidding, it was in February - but two days with no rain and a lot of sun was a nice change from the wet winter (and now spring). But, sadly, the sunny weather isn't going to stick around. The outlook for this week calls for rain - sometimes heavy rain - every day of the week except Friday. But on the bright side, temperatures are supposed to stay in the high 50s or low 60s.

Here's the week ahead forecast for the region, according to the National Weather Service:

Seattle-Bellevue

Monday: Rain likely, mainly after 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 60. South southwest wind 14 to 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Monday night: Rain. Low around 47. South wind 7 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Tuesday: Rain before 11am, then showers likely after 11am. High near 60. Southwest wind 13 to 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Tuesday night: A 20 percent chance of showers before 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 44.

Wednesday: A 50 percent chance of rain after 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 59.

Wednesday night: Rain. Cloudy, with a low around 45.
