According to the latest forecasts for this week, July 4 is going to be a nice day: mostly sunny with temperatures getting up around 80. But at night, clouds are expected to roll in, putting fireworks shows across Puget Sound at risk.

Monday: A 40 percent chance of showers before 11am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 67. Southwest wind 8 to 11 mph.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 52. West wind 5 to 8 mph becoming southeast in the evening.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 73. South wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 55.

Independence Day: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 79.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 58.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 75.

Friday Night: A slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57.
