Queen Anne Murder: Man Arrested For Shooting Woman In Car

The killing happened early Sunday near the Upper Queen Anne business district.

SEATTLE, WA - A 29-year-old woman was shot and killed early Sunday in the Queen Anne neighborhood. Police later arrested a 31-year-old man in connection to the killing.

The shooting happened after midnight Sunday near the intersection of West McGraw Place and 2nd Avenue West, which is about three blocks east of the main business district along Queen Anne Avenue at the top of the hill.

Police say that the suspect shot the woman in a car. Medics took the woman to Harborview Medical Center, which is where she was pronounced dead.

The suspect was taken to King County Jail for investigation of murder, and was being held without bail. According to the suspect's social media profiles, he was an employee of the U.S. Coast Guard in Seattle.
