Rain? After A Long Dry Spell, A Chance Of Showers In The Forecast
Watch for showers Thursday and beyond amid a statewide drought.

SEATTLE, WA - According to the federal government, 100 percent of Washington's population is experiencing abnormally dry or drought-like conditions. Not a surprise since it hasn't rained in about two months.
That might change Thursday and heading into the weekend.
The National Weather Service predicts an upper-level trough will roll into Puget Sound soon. That type of weather brings clouds and, yes, showers. Let's hope for your vegetable garden's sake the forecast is correct.

An exiting upper level ridge and an approaching upper level trough will allow for another cloudy morning with cooler daytime temperatures and the possibility of some drizzle for Thursday morning. Expect high temperatures tomorrow to be a few degrees cooler then today. #wawx pic.twitter.com/lhiG7SIVwc

The best chance for rain will be Friday before 11 a.m. But Thursday morning could be wet, too. Be careful as you head out on the morning commute - sudden rain after a long dry period can cause roadways to become slippery.
