Be careful if you're headed over the Cascades early this week. Heavy winter weather is in the forecast.

SEATTLE, WA - Beware of heavy weather early this week around Puget Sound. There's an 80 percent chance of rain on Monday and Tuesday, but just about half that for the rest of the week. Here's the full five-day forecast, according to the National Weather Service:

Monday: Rain. High near 47. South wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Monday Night: Rain. Low around 45. South southwest wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Tuesday: Rain. High near 51. South southwest wind around 18 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Tuesday Night: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low around 43. South southwest wind 8 to 13 mph becoming light and variable in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Wednesday: A 40 percent chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 52.

Wednesday Night: A 30 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43.

Thursday Night: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43.

Friday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 54.
