SEATTLE, WA — Several rallies are planned in Washington State Tuesday, ahead of a scheduled vote on two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, brought by House Democrats. The Associated Press reports Wednesday's action will be just the third time in U.S. history the House has voted on impeachment of a President. Votes are expected to fall largely along party lines, and no House Republicans have signaled they will break with President Trump.

In Seattle, a rally is planned outside the Henry M. Jackson Federal Building downtown, starting at 5 p.m. Several hundred people have RSVP'd on the event's Facebook page, and KOMO News reports Gov. Jay Inslee and Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan are among those expected to attend.

Similar events are planned in Renton, Edmonds, Bothell, Redmond, Issaquah, Tacoma, Puyallup, and Olympia. Drivers with travel plans near the gatherings should expect road closures in the area.
