During Wednesday and Thursday, a total of five businesses and residences were broken into.

PUYALLUP, WA - While it doesn't appear there's a link among all of them, five burglaries made an appearance in the Puyallup police blotter for Wednesday and Thursday. Two separate sets of burglaries did occur close to each on South Meridian Street and 23rd Avenue SE. Thieves hit both residences and businesses in the string of break-ins. Here are details on each burglary according to police:
- At the 2200 block of S. Meridian St., a burglar entered the victim's apartment in the morning and stole several items, including a TV, a laptop, jewelry, and an Xbox. Police found partial prints and are investigating.
- Also at the 2200 block S. Meridian St., an unsecured first floor window was entered in the morning. A large amount of expensive electronics were stolen.
- At the 400 block 23rd Ave. SE on late Wednesday night or Thursday morning, an apartment complex rental office was entered by unknown means. Several items were stolen including keys, garage door openers, checks and cash. Cops believe the burglar used gloves, but may have dropped a thumb drive at the scene. An employee also noticed strange symbols on her computer, which she described as possibly being Asian script.
- At the 1700 block of Shaw Road on Thursday morning or afternoon, a burglar pried the back door lock to gain entry. The victim’s cellular phone, some batteries and some food were taken. The victim believes it may have been her ex-husband who now lives in the transient camps.
- At the 100 block 23rd Ave. SE, a male suspect wearing a white hat, a dark top and jeans gained entry via an unlocked window. The suspect pried open doors and damaged computers while stealing hard drives that contained business information. The burglar also stole apartment complex master keys and a safe containing about $2,500 in money orders.
