Sale Of Seahawks Will Benefit Charity: Report

The Seahawks are excited to be sold for a record amount, but there are no offers on the table at the moment.

SEATTLE, WA - When the Seahawks are sold, the proceeds will benefit the Paul G. Allen Foundation, according to a report on NFL.com. The team isn't up for sale yet, but one is expected imminently.

Seahawks owner Paul G. Allen died about a month ago, throwing his assets, including the the football team, into question.

"Several sources informed of the situation told NFL.com that Allen's plan was to have the proceeds of the eventual sale of the team go to his foundation. The Paul G. Allen Foundation consolidated all of his causes and would be the beneficiary of the transaction. In other words, the sale of the Seahawks will benefit charity," Ian Rapoport reported on NFL.com Sunday morning.
