Seattle City Hall Becomes 'Kitten Hall' During Cat Takeover: PHOTOS
The fourth 'Kitten Hall' adoption event happened Monday at Seattle City Hall.

SEATTLE, WA - Hail our new feline leaders: Council members Kittyshama Sawant, District 3; Bruce Hairball, District 2; Maine Coon O'Brien, District 6, and, at the top of the cat tree, Mayor Ed Meowy. OK, none of those names are real, but a bunch of cats took over Seattle City Hall Monday for an adoption event. The cats didn't get any legislative authority, but there was a mock election: Rita, age 12, was picked as the Kitten Council President.
The fourth "Kitten Hall" event offers locals the chance to visit with kitties, or even adopt one - seven were taken home after Monday's event. It's also a way to spread awareness about the Seattle Animal Shelter's adoption services.
Here are some photos of the event, courtesy of the City of Seattle:

Mayor Ed Murray and Miss Seattle's Outstanding Teen 2017, Jaclyn Seifert, 17. Seifert briefly considered a mayoral run this spring.

Startled by persona non grata Alex Tsimerman trying to enter City Hall.

Murray possibly reconsidering his Jenny Durkan endorsement?
