The Seattle Int'l Comedy Competition returns kicking off Nov. 4th

The 41st Seattle International Comedy Competition begins a 17-performance tour throughout the Puget Sound area on Thursday.

The 41st Seattle International Comedy Competition begins a 17-performance tour throughout the Puget Sound area on Thursday with opening night at Unexpected Productions near Pike Place Market.

Despite taking a year off due to the pandemic, the show will go on -- introducing Seattle audiences to some of the best comics working today. The 2021 iteration will not be without a few changes, most notably lacking a show at the historic Comedy Underground, which was unable to survive the Covid-19 lockdown after 40 years in Pioneer Square. Other usual venues were not open to the public yet.

Instead, audiences can look forward to shows at the Broadway Performance Hall on Capitol Hill, and seeing the finals at Laughs Comedy Club in the University District.

The Seattle International Comedy Competition is a hugely respected event in the comedy world, launching the careers of many famous comics.
