Seattle Man Arrested After Devouring $200 In Office Chocolate
SPD says a 44-year-old man managed to wolf down a stunning amount of chocolate before he was arrested at a downtown office.
SEATTLE, WA — The sugar coma is real, one Seattle man has learned first hand. Seattle Police say a 44-year-old man broke into a downtown office building Thursday night, then scarfed down hundreds of dollars in chocolate and took a nap. According to police, an employee called 911 after the man broke into an otherwise empty financial office, rearranged a painting then set his sights on a glass bowl full of sweets.
When officers arrived at the 600 block of Union Street, they found the man had taken off his shoes, watch and jacket and was relaxing on a couch, in the dark, inside an upper floor office. He reportedly told police "you will have to kill me to take me to jail," but he was arrested without incident. The man was booked into King County Jail on suspicion of burglary, malicious mischief and two other warrants.
