Seattle Man Dies After Fall At Wallace Falls State Park
The man fell over an embankment Sunday evening at the state park in Gold Bar.

SEATTLE, WA - A 33-year-old Seattle man died Sunday evening after falling over an embankment at Wallace Falls State Park in Gold Bar. According to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office, the man was hiking with his wife and friends Sunday evening when he fell about 2.4 miles up the trail near an area that overlooks the midpoint of the falls.
The man fell into a hard-to-reach area, and so it took rescue crews longer to retrieve him. His dog had also fallen over the falls, but crews were able to rescue it.
In July, Haylei Hughes, 18, died at Wallace Falls after she and two friends ventured out into the falls. She fell off the waterfall and into the Wallace River. Hughes had recently moved to the Seattle area to play soccer for the Seattle Stars FC in the Northwest Premier League.
