Seattle Mayor Ed Murray Confronts Trump On Climate Change
Murray joined mayors from dozens of other big U.S. cities in letter asking Trump to help them with climate change mitigation.

SEATTLE, WA - Mayor Ed Murray has signed an open letter to Donald Trump along with 32 other U.S. mayors asking the incomig president to partner with them on climate change action.
All of the "climate mayors" who signed the letter have taken action in their cities - ranging from Park City, Utah to Somerville, Mass. - to reduce carbon emissions, and they want Trump's help to continue those efforts.
"We lead 33 small and large American cities, comprising nearly 30 million Americans in both blue and red states," the letter, posted on Medium.com, reads. "We have joined together in the U.S. Mayors’ National Climate Action Agenda (MNCAA), or the #ClimateMayors, in addressing the greatest challenge of our time, climate change. Each of our cities is committing to ambitious targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, set climate action, regularly report on our progress, share lessons and hold each other accountable. Around the globe, cities are working together through organizations like C40 as well."

It's unknown what, if any, response Trump will provide to the mayors. He has in the past blamed climate change on other countries, or claimed that it's not related to human activity. Although on Tuesday, Trump admitted to the New York Times that there is some "human connectivity" to climate change.
