Summit Atlas, located in West Seattle, was recognized by U.S. News & World Report among the best middle schools in Washington. Summit Atlas ranked #3 out of Washington charter schools and in the top 300 middle schools in the state.

For the first time, U.S. News looked at public middle schools across Washington, and ranked about 750 based on students’ performance on math and reading/language arts state assessments.

Summit Public Schools, a public school system with schools in California and Washington, has made the U.S. News & World Report rankings every year since 2009. In addition to Summit Atlas’ ranking, Summit Denali in Sunnyvale, California was ranked as a top middle school in that state.
