SEATTLE, WA - A Seattle police officer was stabbed in the face and arm by a blind man inside an International District apartment building on Monday night. The officer was treated at Harborview and later released, according to police.

Officers went to the Maynard Avenue apartment building around 10 p.m. on a report that a man living there was harassing the other tenants. The man had apparently urinated in a common area, and wrapped one neighbor's doorknob with a piece of raw meat.

When the officers approached the man's apartment, he suddenly emerged from the front door, swinging a knife. After striking one officer, the two fell through another door. Police were eventually able to get the man under arrest.
