Seattle Police Investigating Shooting Death Of Man Downtown

SEATTLE, WA —Police are asking the public for information relating to the shooting death of a man Sunday afternoon in downtown Seattle, the Seattle Police Department said.

According to police, at 12:38 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area of 3rd Avenue and Pine Street. The officers discovered a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the 300 block of Pine Street.

The officers and members of the Seattle Fire Department attempted life-saving measures, but the man was declared dead at the scene.

The victim's name has not been released, nor have police speculated about a motive for the shooting.

Homicide detectives and members of the SPD's Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to the scene and collected evidence, according to authorities. The investigation remains ongoing.
