Seattle Storm, Better Than Mariners, Sonics, Seahawks (Combined)

Also, better than the Portland Trailblazers. The Seattle Storm won a third WNBA championship on Wednesday night.

SEATTLE, WA - With three WNBA titles, the Seattle Storm is the city's best-ever team, with more championships than the Mariners (0), Seahawks (1), and the Seattle-era SuperSonics (1). And as long as we're at it, the Storm have more championships than the Portland Trail Blazers (1), too.

Storm stars Sue Bird, Breanna Stewart, Jewell Lloyd, and Natasha Howard led the team to a sweep of the Washington Mystics Wednesday night 98-82 to win a third title. Stewart was named MVP after she scored 30 points during the game, a finals record for the Storm.

The 18-year-old team won its first WNBA championship in 2004, and then again in 2010.
