Seattle Water Taxi Service Suspended Due To Construction

The planned service interruption might last up to a week, according to King County Metro.

SEATTLE, WA - King County Metro's water taxi service between Colman Dock and West Seattle and Vashon Island is suspended this week. The planned service disruption is due to construction of a new Colman Dock. The contractor has to build a temporary dock for the water taxi, which will happen this week possibly through the end of the week.

Construction on the new Colman Dock facility - the Seattle Multimodal Terminal at Colman Dock - will last up to five years, but will result in a new, covered passenger-only facility for the water taxi and the Kitsap County fast-ferry.

King County Metro will alert water taxi riders when the service reopens through social media and its rider alerts.
