Seattle's 'Select Committee' On Homelessness Meets Thursday
The first meeting of the committee, which includes all nine members of City Council, will begin with a briefing on homelessness spending.

SEATTLE, WA - The first meeting of the City Council's "select committee" on homelessness will happen Thursday. Council President Bruce Harrell formed the committee in August to provide "a new and more centralized approach focused on the homelessness issue through a committee comprised of all nine Council members."
Thursday's meeting is the only one scheduled so far. The sole item on the agenda is a briefing on "citywide response and spending on homelessness." There will also be room for public comment.
You can read more about the objectives of the select committee on its web page. The meeting starts at 2 p.m. Thursday in Council Chambers.
