Semi-Automatic Rifle Recovered After South Seattle Shooting
The shooting happened Wednesday night along Seward Park Avenue near Rainier Beach High School.

SEATTLE, WA - Seattle police recovered a semi-automatic rifle and arrested a 23-year-old after shots rang out near Rainier Beach High School late Wednesday night. No one was hurt in the shooting, according to Seattle police, but several cars in the area were damaged.
The shooting was reported around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday along the 9000 block of Seward Park Avenue South, which is near the Henderson Street intersection. Witnesses said that the shooting sounded like it was coming from the parking lot of an apartment complex near that address.
When police arrived, they saw a vehicle leaving the scene that matched a witness description. Police arrested the driver, and witnesses identified him as the shooter. Police found the semi-automatic rifle near the scene of shooting.

The 23-year-old was booked into the King County Jail on suspicion of unlawful discharge of a firearm, felony property damage, and an outstanding felony warrant.
