WSDOT said its bridge maintenance team found no evidence of structural damage, apart from a few overhead scrapes and a guardrail that will need replacement. The ramps reopened just before 5 p.m., and the express lanes reopened northbound around 6 p.m.
#Seattle: We've put temporary jersey barrier along the damaged railing of the I-5 express lanes at Mercer and will schedule permanent repairs. We expect the lanes to be open northbound in the next 15 minutes or so. Thanks for your patience during a difficult day for travel.
