Alki Shooting Victim Dies; Seattle Police Search For Suspects
The shooting happened late Tuesday night in the Alki section of West Seattle.

SEATTLE, WA - A man in his early 20s who was shot late Tuesday night in the Alki section of West Seattle died early Wednesday morning. The shooting happened around 9 p.m. in the busy West Seattle beachfront commercial district. According to the King County Sheriff's air unit, the suspect escaped in a gray Grand Marquis model car, and Seattle police were still searching for suspects.
The shooting happened near the intersection of Alki Avenue Southwest and 62nd Avenue Southwest, which is at the western edge of the Alki commercial district. Streets in the area were closed due to the investigation.
According to Seattle police, the shooting broke out as a crowd of people stood along Alki Avenue. Police do not believe the shooting was random; the victim was most likely targeted.
