Bullet Hits Seattle's Nova High School, No Injuries Reported

Seattle police confirmed shots were fired in the vicinity of the Seattle school Tuesday morning.

SEATTLE, WA - Shots were fired in the vicinity of Nova High School in Seattle's Central District Tuesday morning, according to Seattle police, and one bullet pierced a window at the school. The shooting began near Powell Barnett Park along Martin Luther King Jr. Way South, and continued through the neighborhood up Cherry Street, police reported. There were no injuries, and police had not yet located any suspects.

Police started getting reports of shots around 11 a.m. According to witnesses, people in two vehicles began shooting at each other in front of Powell Barnett Park. The two cars continued north and then headed west along Cherry Street, apparently continuing to fire shots.

A Nova student reported on Twitter that shots were being fired outside his school, and that one penetrated a window, although police did not name which school was damaged.
