Smash And Grab Robbers Hit Downtown Jewelry Store
The robbers used hammers to smash the merchandise cases and steal valuable items.

SEATTLE, WA - Police are investigating a smash-and-grab robbery of a downtown jewelry store Friday night. Police received a report of the robbery at the 4th Avenue and Pike Street store shortly before 6 p.m. Witnesses said the suspects smashed the display cases with hammers, then removed valuable items from the cases.
The suspects fled the scene. Police do not have suspect descriptions as of yet. The case remains an active investigation.
There has been a string of smash-and-grab robberies in the area recently, including Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood, Bellevue Square Mall and Southcenter Mall in Tukwila.
