Snow Situation: A Few Chances In Puget Sound Through Friday

Don't expect a big snow event, but some white stuff might fall fin the Seattle area a few times through Friday.

SEATTLE, WA - Snow levels will drop as low as 200 feet in Puget Sound through Friday, but that doesn't mean we'll get any meaningful snow accumulation, according to the latest forecasts.

Precipitation will move into the Seattle area on Wednesday morning, and it'll be wet and cold through Friday. Here's what the National Weather Service is seeing for snow:

Wednesday: Snow levels will be at about 1,000 feet for most of the day. Precipitation will fall as rain below that height. Up to 2 inches expected at Snoqualmie Pass.

Wednesday Night: With colder temperatures, snow levels will drop to between 300 and 500 feet. Beacon Hill in Seattle is about 300 feet, for reference.

Thursday: Mostly rain. Snow levels between 500 and 1,000 feet.

Thursday Night: Snow levels drop to 200 to 500 feet with the chance for "wet, slushy snow."

Friday: Precipitation will continue through the day with snow levels between 500 and 1,000 feet
