SEATTLE, WA — The 2019 MLS Cup champion Seattle Sounders will parade through downtown Seattle Tuesday afternoon, concluding with a celebration rally at Seattle Center. The Sounders, appearing in their third title match in four years, bested Toronto FC 3-1 at CenturyLink Field on Sunday, in front of a record crowd of 69,274 people. The match was Seattle's first time hosting the MLS Cup and reached the second-highest attendance ever recorded for the league. Seattle joins just five other teams in league history to win multiple championship titles.

Tuesday's parade begins at noon at Westlake Park. The route will travel along 4th and 2nd avenues, concluding on the Fisher Lawn at Seattle Center. A rally is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. Several roads and bus routes will be affected by the festivities. Seattle transportation officials recommend those planning to travel in the Downtown and Uptown areas plan ahead and monitor traffic alerts.
