The Space Needle's closure follows a directive from Inslee earlier Thursday, ordering the mandatory closure of all schools in King, Pierce and Snohomish counties. Inslee's order was expanded statewide Friday afternoon, along with the ban on large public gatherings. Seattle Public Libraries will close all locations at 6 p.m. Friday, with plans to reopen April 13 at the earliest.
