'Spanish Privilege' Rant On Facebook Live Leads To Hate Crime Charge
The incident took place last year in the White Center area south of Seattle, according to reports.

SEATTLE, WA - A woman is facing a hate crime charge over a Facebook Live video she allegedly made in November that shows her following a Hispanic woman down a street near West Seattle while ranting about the woman's apparent "Spanish privilege."
The video was published by the Seattle Times on Tuesday, and was allegedly made by Sandra Jametski, 48. Jametski is facing a charge of malicious harassment over the incident. Prosecutors have called Jametski's alleged actions are an "attack on the entire Latino community."
Under state law, malicious harassment is defined as causing injury or threatening someone based on a perception of "the victim's race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, or mental, physical, or sensory handicap."

The video begins with a woman - allegedly Jametski - speeding to catch up to a silver SUV; the woman in the video narrates her pursuit of the other vehicle saying, "You get a super good look everybody ... this is what it's called to be Spanish privilege!" The female narrator alleges that the other driver entered the road without using a blinker.
"We don't drive like you're in Mexico, lady!" the voice shouts at the car she's following.

Jametski allegedly went on to confront the woman in the parking lot of Rainier Prep Academy about a previous car accident, according to the Times' report. The subject of the woman's ire - identified by the Times only as a woman named Dolores - decided to report the incident only after a friend shared the Facebook Live video with her.
A portion of the video published by the Times ends with the woman claiming that the other driver owns four cars, and sends her children to a prep school - Rainier Prep is a public charter school. She also claims that the woman can get away with lying to police in America if you're "Spanish."
"I'm going to enjoy suing this lady for every penny she's got!" the woman exclaims near the end of the video.
