SPD Blotter: Detectives Investigating Friday Night SODO Shooting

Homicide detectives are investigating after a man was shot and killed following an attempted carjacking in SODO Late Friday night.

Officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of 4th Avenue South at 11:30 PM for a report of an attempted carjacking where a man had been shot. Officers quickly arrived and found a man with a single suspected gunshot wound and immediately began first aid. Seattle Fire Department Medics declared the man deceased at the scene.

Detectives are currently interviewing a second involved person in an attempt to determine what led up to the shooting.

Officers with the Crime Scene Investigations Unit are collecting evidence and scouring the area for any possible surveillance video.

Detectives are not searching for any additional suspects at this time.
